On the Second Day of Christmas - Would you Like to Get High?



Treasure the Moment. Making a Christmas Italian pastry from approximately five generations back to Calabria, Italy. The name of the pastry is phonetically pronounced as follows: Pita Piata spelled Pita Pigliata, Rosettes - Round Cake. 



Ever wake up feeling a sense of euphoria, peace, as if you're really in tune with your core self?


Then something happens. Someone says something that sets you off, you get that first phone call from a rash customer, you get a cancellation, etc.

Worse, you ask yourself: Why the heck am I so happy about?

Hate to say it folks but that's you sabotaging yourself. Moreover, why do we do this? Because we believe that we aren't deserving of total peace, we're so used to negativity it has overcome us.

Excuse me if I don't speak for you particularly. If you're always happy and peaceful, then great for you.

But my gift for the second day of Christmas is to share a little exercise you can perform to evoke a sense of inner peace.
First start your day with a few minutes in your sacred place, that place in your home that you consider your sanctuary (see previous post: Your Sanctuary) and breath in with your eyes closed, count down from 10 to 1. If your mind drifts, and mine does all the time, then force yourself to see the number form in your mind. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Then stay there in that peaceful state of mind where there is nothing, no thought, no worries, keep your mind clear. Deepak Chopra calls this the space between thoughts. Now visualize something that you would like to accomplish, a problem you would like to see solved and allow yourself to experience the feeling that your would have having accomplished that goal or resolving that problem. Now let it go, let it go and trust that the universe will manifest it for you. Now return to your peaceful state of nothingness, just being and say to yourself, I deserve contentment, I deserve bliss, and this state of mind comes to me easily and effortlessly. I deserve this peace and will not let anyone or anything or , most importantly, myself to disturb it today. If I do then I will simply remove myself from the situation and repeat this exercise. It only takes a minute, but it will work wonders for you. Enjoy your naturally evoked mental high!

Plentitude



There is enough. Don't allow yourself to come from the energy of lack because there is more than enough for you. You are in the right time at the right place meeting the right people. In addition, if there's a struggle or if you’re getting resistance, then let it go, don't try to control it, for what you resists persists.

The above are samples of my daily affirmations. The mind is a funny thing. Think of thoughts as seeds. What you plant in your mind grows. So if you plants seeds of negativity, what will you produced?
However, we don't want to do that, do we? Therefore, we plant the seeds of promise, of dreams and then we fertilize and water them. Then they grow and depending of the quality of the care we give the garden in our brain, the growth will be beyond our wildest dreams.

You may ask the question: what if there isn't enough?

That leads us to the principle of prosperity. There is enough, that's just it. And what you convince your mind to believe, you believe.

In the book The Science of Success by Wallace D. Wattles, he author writes about the necessity to not be competitive about getting your dreams. That no one will beat you to the punch. If they beat you to the thing you've sought for, then another opportunity will open up for you ... the right one. It may be further down the line. Sometimes it may feel like it will never come.

But when you are in doubt you have to visualize your dream and imagine that it is formulating in the universe and will come to you in the right time. Meanwhile, be grateful for your vision, have faith in its purpose in your life.

There is enough prosperity in the world to bring about your dream.
