Kayden tells us her inspiration for this week's book feature, Hell's Bounty:

Where did I get the idea for Hell’s Bounty

Since it’s close to Halloween and this books is about demons I thought I’d share how I got the story idea for newly released paranormal erotica, Hell’s Bounty.
I was working on a romantic suspense story in my usual place, a coffee shop, when two men sat down beside me. The one man started to bemoan about how horrible his wife was. The second man wouldn’t let his buddy have all the fun and stated his wife sucked the life out of him more.
The first man upped his game and now it was a competition as to who had the most horrible wife.
I’m sitting there trying to work and all I could think about was “Really? You two aren’t such wonderful catches yourself. The next thing I knew I had a scene where a woman is literally sucking the life out of a man, then she laughs about it. I tucked it into my use later file and forgot about it.
Years later I was at my critique meeting and we were talking about the weirdest scene we’ve ever written and I told them about this scene. They exclaimed “That’s a succubus.” I went home and googled succubus and sure enough that was what I had written. Then I came up with the most amazing match for her, the heavenly Marcus Dionysius and the story took life.
I seem to get my ideas from everywhere and everything I’m exposed to and I think most writers are the same way.

Book Feature: Hell's Bounty a paranormal/erotica novella

Log line: Can Hell’s bounty hunter prove her innocence?

Book Tag Line:  When Marcus Dionysius is sent by heaven to stop the sexy succubus from steeling any more souls, can he do his job and protect his heart?

Book Blurb:
Raven Hart, a succubus bounty hunter for Hell, is on a hunt. With her query in sight, she hits a brick wall, or rather the very hard chest of a giant sexy man. She might have lost the prize for now, but she's a winner when the hottie wants to get physical. Marcus Dionysius, a Nephilim working for Heaven, has one mission—to prevent Hell’s beauty from stealing souls meant for the higher plane. But he soon realizes he’s met his sexual match. She’s naughty enough to tempt his senses, but her innocence means he can’t walk away when she needs him most. Working together to discover who’s snatching souls.
Excerpt:

Men watched her breeze past them in the lobby of the stately hotel. Raven Hart knew that even though they had checked her out, the men would only remember the hooker shoes, the tight dress revealing her voluptuous body, the masses of red curls, and her ruby-red lips, but they would never be able to identify her.
           Tricks of the trade.
She stopped at the doorway into the ultra-modern bar. The glass walls, low leather chairs, and polished chrome tables gave the room the cold ambiance the hotel’s sophisticated crowd craved. She wasn’t one of them, feeling more at home in the neighborhood bar with its mismatched chairs and worn slab tables, but she’d do her job where and when she had to.
Sauntering up to the bar, she asked for a cola, no ice, and slid onto the tall bar stool as the bartender placed it before her. Stirring the drink with her straw, she waited for her prey. Watching the various groups of people laughing and pretending to be intrigued by their friends, she sighed. Raven had never enjoyed the party crowds, preferring to curl up with a good book and a glass of her favorite beverage.
She glanced around the bar, saw no one watching, opened her purse, and pulled out a flask. Twisting it open, she poured hemlock into her glass. After securing the silver bottle of nectar in her purse, she took a sip of the improved beverage. The tangy sensation teased her taste buds. Hemlock killed humans, but it was the nectar of the arch-demons and, being a succubus, she couldn’t live without it.
A giant of a man ducked as he entered the bar, paused, took off his sunglasses, tucked them into his jacket pocket.
She watched him.
