Unexpected Love (The Love Series), a short contemporary
romance novel

Log Line:

Two lives brought together unexpectedly. Three souls forever changed.

Book Tag Line:
Ryan Millen’s bachelor life is changed with one phone call. Lynn is a woman in need of financial rescue. A plan develops to help both out of their sudden struggles. Can they save each other from their unexpected challenges, or will outside forces forever pull them apart?

Book Blurb:

Ryan Millen loves his one-night-stands without any desire to settle
down into a permanent relationship. To be in a relationship requires work and sacrifice.

Lynn is struggling to get by day-to-day financially, unable to find a job in a saturated market. Now she’s on her brother's doorstep, begging for a place to stay to find a way to crawl out of the hole she's been swallowed by.

Ryan's world is turned upside down when one of his one-nighters throws a wrench into his perfect single life. An opportunity crosses Lynn's path that she'd never considered.

Will Ryan's new world destroy him or can he accept it and move forward with a chance for a life he'd never planned. Can Lynn save Ryan from himself? What happens when they push against the natural draw they have towards one another?
And what happens when Ryan's one-nighter reappears, set out for revenge?

Excerpt:

“How was he today?” Ryan asked Lynn. He'd been keeping a physical distance from her all week, but he couldn't do it any longer. She'd consumed his thoughts. Day and night. Wide awake or out for the count. And each day when he thought he'd be fine, she'd walk through the door, wearing her yoga pants and a simple tee shirt, looking disheveled and entirely edible.
Since her return, they’d been a tiny family. His tiny family. One that he hadn’t planned but now wanted. Man, he wanted Lynn. Wanted her for himself. Wanted her to belong to him. Wanted her in his house, in his bed, in his life twenty-four seven. A novel idea right?
He was sick of the stupid cat and mouse game they’d been playing for over a month. There was an obvious physical attraction. Each brush of their hands, bump of the shoulder, exchange of a bottle, made his body stir to life. Hell, she walked into the room, flicked her long hair over her shoulder and he was a goner. His brother and Mr. Connors had been smacking him upside the head nonstop for the past week.
“Perfect,” she said. “I just laid him down for his nap.” Another personality draw towards her. Lynn adored his son. The way she treated him, like a mamma bear protective of her cub, Ryan found extremely attractive. It felt as if she was accepting him by adoring his son. And by him, he meant him. Not his good looks, hard body, stellar personality. Him. His imperfections along with his strengths.
“Where is everyone?”
“They're all at the Connors. They had to take Beth there because Mike and Jill were getting baby furniture delivered today.”
They were alone.

Sometimes they want to let you know they came by but they can't think of anything to say. A simple question can get conversations moving perhaps related to your book’s themes):
Unexpected Love is book 2 of a series, but it’s a series without cliffhangers. Each novel can be read as a standalone. Are you a fan of romance series? And if you are, do you prefer cliffhangers or standalone series?
